After months of trying to remember my own blog.. I finally found it. Eventhough it’s by coincidence, I guess it’s fated that I have to pen today’s happening here. *wink wink*
September 7, 2009 – the day started at 7am. Need to bath Annie, wash the bottles, boil the water, refill supplies, pack Annie’s bag, wash and hang the clothes, get ready myself, arghh.. so much today and mom’s coming to pick me up at 9am. Rush rush rush rush..
9.30am – had breakfast at our usual noodle stall.. met taiyi and yi cheong.. yak yak yak.. oh no! we are late. It’s already 10.10am. Sis called and nagged at us for being late. Gotta go.. rush rush again.
10.30am – Arrived at destination. Wow! This place is kewl.. I always wonder how isit at a TV station. The feeling is sensational. I get too see Djays at work.. so this is how it is.. From now onwards, I can totally Imagine them when I listen to the radio. Almost got lost but made it when I saw Sis and cousin sister. Annie was getting really excited.. asking loads of why(s).
11.00am – Preparation time. Annie looks beautiful in her gown and her sweet tiara. She feels totally princess. All the kids looks gorgeous as well. The kids are very excited but nothing compared to the parents. When Annie saw other kids putting on make up.. she also stood in the queue.. ask for the lipstick as well. She is so vain.
I thought she would be shy and would hang on to me.. but no.. she was so at ease and enjoying every moment. While Annie was having a ball.. mommy was almost having a heart attack. It’s so difficult to organise so many kids. I am glad I did not open a kindergarten. I can barely wait for the show to be over.
We rehearsed a few times before the show started. I kept my fingers crossed that Annie will not make a fool of herself. 2 minutes before the show start and counting down. Eeck! What is Annie doing? Why is she walking to the host? Oh-oh! I tried to signal for Annie to walk back to Yi Ma.. but the producer is asking her to go to the host. I was worried sick. 5 seconds before the show starts.. I look at Annie sitting demurely next to the host. chit chatting like a celebrity on a talk show. She is so kewl and I am so proud of her.
Overall, the kids were great even though during the point in time, I almost fainted. Some kids was jumping on stage, Annie was walking in and out of the show. One kid refuse to come down, one was squatting down, another was sticking her tongue out at the camera. hehehe. But when we were watching the playback afterwards, it’s really funnie.
What a milestone!
